DEVELOPMENT OF BIORESOURCES DEPARTMENT BY UPGRADING THE RESEARCH - DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE (BIORES)    

OBJECTIVES
  • Build the infrastructure necessary for a modern department with four laboratories Bioresources: extraction, biofuels, bioproducts, tests and measurements, in a subject under continuous expansion at European level will help increase research capacity by addressing new research directions in bioresources domain.
  • Develop research – development activity for obtaining biofuels, biopesticides, organic solvents, biofertilizers, natural extracts, nutritional supplements, etc. that meet the priority directions for the promotion of renewable raw materials.
  • Creating a team composed of researchers with a high level of scientific training and young graduates who will be attracted to major in chemistry and biotechnology;
  • Making technology transfer technologies developed by SMEs;
  • Increased capability to participate in international partnerships in European research programs.

Following project "DEVELOPMENT OF BIORESOURCES DEPARTMENT BY UPGRADING THE RESEARCH - DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE (BIORES)" implementation, the results are:

Developing a modern Bioresources Department:
To develop and modernize the existing infrastructure of the Laboratory of INCDCP-ICECHIM BIORESOURCES by setting the five rooms allocated by the Institute to establish a modern 4 laboratories

Providing new equipment department with CD BIORESOURCES new equipment unique in Romania.
The allocated funds were acquired latest generation research equipment:

BIOPRODUCTS LABORATORY:

PHOTOBIOREACTOR- (PHYTA PLATFORM FROM CULTURING SOLUTIONS, USA)

Transfer of know-how to young researchers and SMEs.
Achieving the four laboratories under the project will enable young graduates and researchers conducting research internships in laboratories equipped with latest equipment, which will facilitate the development of skills and knowledge deepening and integrating the European research network. However, actions will be organized to disseminate project outcomes to SMEs-direct beneficiaries (mentioned above).
