PARTNERS

OBJECTIVES
  • The main objective of the project deals with the building of an interdisciplinary team, formed from biochemists, biologists, analytical chemists, technologists, microbiologists, chemical engineers, for solving one of the most complex problem, namely the development of fast and alternative methods of food toxins (mycotoxins, enzymatic inhibitors) monitoring during the food processing technology in order to improve the food safety.
    The project subsidiary objectives consists of: increasing both of Romanian research activities visibility in the tackled domain and the partnership institutions involving in international projects, especially in FP7; the bringing and training of young graduated students and specialists in a research domain of great importance.
  • The project specific objective are:
    1. Development of sensitive and fast methods for enzymatic markers determination based on chemical modified electrodes / flow injection analysis with chemuiluminometric / amperometric detection.
    2. Realization of experimental models of some analysis systems based on flow immunosensors / immunoassay for mycotoxines determination.
    3. Development of fast evaluation methods o some enzymatic inhibitors in food based on biosensors / flow analysis.
    4. Optimization of developed methods of monitoring. Testing and improving of operational stability of proposed systems in real working conditions. Comparison of analytical performances of the developed methods with those obtained by ELISA and HPLC.
    5. Results dissemination of the performed research activities by participation to prestigious scientific events in the field of the project, publication of scientific papers in ISI journals.
    6. Submission of international partnership project proposals, especially in FP7.

PHASES
  • Phase I. Studies regarding fast and sensitive methods for enzymatic markers determination. (December 2007)
  • Phase II. Experimental models elaboration for food toxins determination based on flow immunoassay systems / chemically modified electrodes. (November 2008)
  • Phase III. Realization and characterization of some flow immunoassay systems, immunosensors and chemically modified electrodes for food toxins determination (June 2009)
  • Phase IV. Analytical models optimization for the realized flow immunoassay systems for (myco)toxins determination (December 2009)
  • Phase V. Testing of the flow analysis systems analytical performances for toxins determination (December 2010)
